Notably, Han Duck-soo (한덕수), the acting Prime Minister, did not register as a candidate despite speculation. Lee Yang-soo (이양수), the secretary-general of the party, highlighted the rigorous screening process, mentioning a detailed questionnaire covering past misconduct.
