Hyundai Motor Group reported a successful participation in the ‘WCX 2025 Mobility Tech Event’ held in Detroit, Michigan, from June 8-10. Partnering with 24 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) parts suppliers, the group aimed to support these companies in exploring new markets and diversifying their sales channels amidst a rapidly changing export environment.

The ‘Hyundai Motor Group Pavilion’ at WCX provided individual exhibition booths for each participating supplier, facilitating product displays and consultations with potential buyers. Companies such as Dongil Machine, Sein I&D, Sungwon P&F, Kwangsung Steel Pipe, and Sunglim Advanced Industry showcased their products.

Key Outcomes:

  • Export Consultation: Achieved $94 million with 84 companies from major countries, including the United States, Japan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia. ๐Ÿ’ฐ
  • Potential Contracts: Some suppliers received quote requests and are in discussions for future contracts. โœ๏ธ
  • Enhanced Recognition: The joint exhibition helped global buyers recognize these suppliers as trusted partners of Hyundai Motor Group, positively influencing export consultations. ๐Ÿ‘

In addition to the exhibition, Hyundai Motor Group hosted special seminars to share strategies and know-how for overseas market penetration. These efforts are aimed at converting consultations into actual contracts.

Since 2018, Hyundai has been participating in global auto parts exhibitions with its SME partners, resulting in approximately $90 million in export contracts over the past seven years. They plan to continue this initiative at upcoming exhibitions in India, Japan, and Germany.

A representative from Hyundai Motor Group stated, “SME parts suppliers often face challenges in overseas market development due to limited information and networks, despite their excellent technology and manufacturing competitiveness. We will continue to organize joint overseas marketing events that leverage the credibility of being a Hyundai Motor Group partner.”
