🎤 Rapper Sleepy Cleared of Embezzlement Charges, Plans Counter-Suit! 😮

🎉 Big news for rapper Sleepy! He’s been found not guilty of embezzlement charges filed by his former agency, TS Entertainment. This comes after a long legal battle, and Sleepy is not backing down!

The Backstory 📜

Sleepy had previously filed a lawsuit against TS Entertainment in April 2019, seeking to confirm the non-existence of his exclusive contract. TS Entertainment then filed a counterclaim in December 2019, seeking approximately ₩280 million (around $200,000 USD) in damages for breach of contract. After a 5 year court battle Sleepy ultimately won the civil suit.

Embezzlement Allegations 💸

Despite Sleepy’s victory in the civil suit, TS Entertainment filed a criminal complaint against him and two of his former managers in November of last year, alleging embezzlement. However, after investigation, police have cleared Sleepy of all charges!

Sleepy’s Response and Counter-Action 👊

Sleepy isn’t letting this go. He plans to file a lawsuit against TS Entertainment for false accusation (무고죄 – Mugo-joe in Korean) , seeking to hold them legally responsible for their actions.

In his statement, Sleepy said, “As the head of a household, I can no longer tolerate these actions from my former agency in order to protect my family. I have decided to file a lawsuit against my former agency for false accusation and hold them legally responsible.”

He added, “There may be another long legal battle ahead, but I made this decision in the hope that no one, including myself, will ever be unfairly treated again. I promise to always be humble and show you my best side, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me.”
