The son of South Korean lawmaker Lee Cheol-gyu, identified as Lee (30s), has tested positive for marijuana in a detailed drug test. This development follows his apprehension related to an attempt to acquire liquid marijuana.
According to the Seocho Police Station in Seoul, the National Forensic Service delivered the hair follicle test results, confirming the presence of marijuana in Lee’s system.
Lee is accused of attempting to obtain liquid marijuana using the ‘drop-off’ method in a back alley in Seocho-gu, Seoul, in October of last year. The attempt was unsuccessful.
Additionally, Lee’s wife was identified via CCTV footage as having accompanied him to the location, leading to her indictment on charges related to violations of the Narcotics Control Act.
Police have also requested detailed drug tests for Lee’s wife and other accomplices involved. Authorities are currently investigating the specifics of the crime.
