• Connectivity: Significantly reduces travel time between cities, potentially connecting Seoul to Busan in just 20 minutes, compared to the current 1 hour and 52 minutes by KTX (Korea Train eXpress – South Korea’s high-speed rail system).

Core Technologies Under Development

The main focus is on developing magnetic levitation and propulsion technologies to enable high-speed travel. This includes:

• Designing and constructing near-vacuum tubes
• Ensuring airtight compartments
• Creating vehicle designs that offer a stable and comfortable ride

What’s Next?

The project will verify vehicle levitation and propulsion through dedicated tracks, superconducting electromagnet systems, and advanced control technologies. A task force of experts will regularly review the progress.
