He emphasized his commitment to these critical regional issues, expressing his determination to ensure they are addressed, particularly if he is elected president. In a recent Facebook post, Mayor Hong outlined his schedule for the week, including farewell visits on Tuesday, a farewell address to the city council on Thursday, and a message of gratitude to the Daegu city hall staff on Friday, signaling his imminent departure.

It is reported that Hong Joon-pyo plans to officially announce his candidacy for president on the 14th in Yeouido, Seoul. This marks a significant step in his political career as he aims for the highest office in the country.
